How rehoming a pony works.

If you're interested in rehoming a pony, please fill out the form below.  Please ensure you give us all details for yourself, vet & farrier as we will carry out reference checks with them and cannot do this if a form is incomplete.  We check that you are not dealing or breeding and can offer a rescue pony a secure home.  Wherever possible we castrate the ponies, including carrying out surgery for rigs....

Where a young foal is not yet ready to castrate we will rehome on the agreement with the rehomer that they castrate the pony as soon as they are ready to do.  If you rehome a pony and can no longer keep them then the charity expects to be contacted to help get them into another suitable home with appropriate checks, you are never authorised by the charity to advertise our rescue ponies for sale.

We ask for a rehoming fee on the ponies, this is usually a contribution to the huge expenses we cover such as transport, castration, passport, vet fees  rent & feed costs... however the rehoming fee will never be enough to cover what the pony has cost us ... so for every pony rehomed we also ask the rehomer to offer a donation to support the charity's ongoing work and recognise the wonderful work of our many volunteers.  All our volunteers work tirelessly to help the ponies in their spare time and appreciate all donations received to help the ponies.

If you want to rehome a pony, but don't have experience maybe you could help us on of our yards in Merthyr or Caerphilly to gain experience.    If you could volunteer please complete the volunteering form.  We are always looking for volunteers who could get themselves to our Caerphilly yard in any case.  Thanks
